Clean Up Australia - Sunday morning 6th March The annual Clean Up Australia went ahead on Sunday morning 6th
March. While the inclement weather no doubt deterred many people from
attending fifteen volunteers turned up to make the morning a success. We
were fortunate with the weather as the rain temporarily held off for
the crucial three hours while the volunteers collected litter around the
usual ‘hot spots’ including Beecroft shops, carparks and along Wongala
Crescent as far as Arden School where there is always litter next to the
rail line. This year one intrepid volunteer ventured up to Observatory
Park and found it a challenge to collect the volume of litter in the
vicinity of Mount St Benedict School. A special thanks to Beecroft
Scouts for their assistance. See you all again in 2023.

The Sad Passing of Another Long Time Resident One

time also composing pieces for Beecroft Public School and St Johns
Anglican Church. Along with Mr & Mrs Hillier he was central in the
Beecroft Music Club in the 1960s and early 1970s. A biography can be
